YOUR HOURS, YOUR PLAN

What do you do with the hours you have?

A practical, personal way to decide where your business time goes, based on your priorities, your energy and the life you're actually living.

You know there are things you want to do in your business.

You have ideas, plans and priorities competing for your attention and you may well know what would move your business forward, but knowing what you want to do and knowing what to focus on in the time you actually have are two different things.

Your Hours, Your Plan helps you decide how to use the hours you have to move a business priority of your choosing forward, while making room for the life you're building it for, because your business has to work for your life (that's probably part of why you started it).

Your business and your life share the same hours

On one side, there are the activities that bring in work, the ideas you want to develop, the relationships you want to nurture and the projects you'd love to give more attention.

On the other side is the rest of your life.

The commitments you've already made. The people who need you. The responsibilities that don't disappear because you run a business. The days when you have the energy to think clearly and the days when you don't.

Both are real and they share the same hours.

The thing is, you can have a good understanding of your business and still find it difficult to decide what to do with the hours available to you.

Perhaps you've tried time-management systems, routines or carefully planned weeks, only to find that they work on paper but not particularly well in your life. Or perhaps your weeks feel full, yet you're not always sure your time is adding up to the progress you're looking for.

Those approaches may not have accounted for the time, energy and commitments you actually have.

The answer isn't to become more disciplined, get up earlier or fit more into each day. What helps is a clearer picture of the time you have and a way to decide how you want to use it.

Four stages, and a plan that's yours

When the hours don't seem to stretch far enough, the natural move is to look for a better way to organise them. Starting from the same assumptions about what a productive week looks like gives you another plan that doesn't fit.

Your Hours, Your Plan starts with how you use your time now and builds from there. Each stage builds on the one before, so you can make a plan based on your actual circumstances, rather than an ideal week on paper.

You begin by choosing the one business priority you most want to move forward in the time ahead, and the plan is built around it.

Across four guided audio sessions and a companion workbook, you'll work through four stages:

  • 01 · Where your hours go

Choose the business priority you want to plan around and get a clearer picture of how your time is currently being used.

  • 02 · What you have to work with

Understand the time and energy available to you in the context of your actual life.

  • 03 · What earns its place

Consider where you want to direct your attention, in light of what matters to your business and to you.

  • 04 · Your plan

Bring everything together in a plan that's yours to use, adapt and return to as your circumstances change.

What this helps you do

With a clearer picture and a plan of your own, you can work towards:

Giving your working time more direction. Focus on the business activities that contribute to the priority you've chosen, rather than staying busy without a clear sense of what your time is contributing to.

Making deliberate choices about what gets your attention. Decide what you want to make room for, what can wait and what you no longer want to prioritise in this period.

Planning around the energy you actually have. Recognise that not every hour is the same, and take that into account when planning your work.

Making room for life beyond your business. Account for the people, commitments, rest and other things that matter to you, rather than treating them as obstacles to an ideal working week.

Your business priority can help you decide how to direct your business time. It doesn't mean that everything else in your life has to justify itself against that priority. Some things matter simply because they're part of the life you want to live.

This won't add hours to your day. It will help you make more deliberate decisions about the hours you have, in a way that reflects what you want your business to give your life.

What's included

  • Four audio trainings for you to work through the process in order

  • A companion workbook with exercises and resources to help you work through the process and create your own plan

  • A pull-out sheet of principles for easy reference to return to when you're making decisions about your time, priorities and the way you want to work.

  • A supporting sheet for reference to help you find your way forward when circumstances change or your plan isn't working as expected.

  • The audio transcripts

  • Self study

  • Immediate access

  • ‘Lifetime’ access (which means access for as long as the product remains available for purchase). Your materials remain available through your client portal, so you can return to the process as your business, priorities and circumstances change.

Is Your Hours, Your Plan for you?

Your Hours, Your Plan is for you if

  • You have a business you want to keep developing, ideas you want to bring to life and a finite number of hours in which to do it all.

  • You may know which part of your business you most want to move forward, yet struggle to give it the time and attention it needs.

  • Your weeks may feel full without adding up to the progress you want.

You don't need to be starting from scratch, and you don't need anyone to tell you what your priorities should be. This is a way to work through your own circumstances and make a plan that reflects what matters to you.

This may not be what you're looking for if…

  • You're looking for a ready-made daily schedule, a rigid routine to follow or a set of rules telling you how a business owner should spend their time.

If you'd like a clearer way to decide what to do with your business hours, so you can direct your working time towards the activities that matter to you and make considered choices about the life around your business, Your Hours, Your Plan can help you work towards that.

A little about me

I'm Linden. I've spent twenty years working in HR and around a decade in the online business space. Like many women building a business, I know that work is only one part of life.

There are people to care about, commitments to honour and things that matter beyond the business itself. The time and energy available for work are shaped by all of it.

It's easy to find advice about what to do next, how to grow and how to organise your working life. But advice that sounds sensible in theory doesn't always account for your circumstances, your priorities, your energy or the life your business needs to fit around.

That's why I create resources that help women make decisions about their businesses in the context of their actual lives, rather than trying to fit themselves into somebody else's idea of how they should work.

Your Hours, Your Plan brings that approach to a very practical question: what do you do with the hours you have? Your business is yours to shape. The way you use your time should reflect that, too.

From the foundational entrepreneur training mini-course

I found the coaching sessions particularly helpful to give me perspective, confidence and clarity on my goals. The programme encouraged me to prioritise my mindset, think like a CEO, to take positive practical action and has given me tools I will use on an ongoing basis.

FAQs

How much time will I need?

You'll need to set aside some time to work through the materials and complete the exercises. You'll also track your time for at least a week and continue observing your energy over a month, so you can build a more informed picture of your circumstances.

You can begin creating an initial plan after the first week, then revisit and refine it as you learn more.

What if I've tried time-management systems before and they haven't worked for me?

Your Hours, Your Plan isn't a ready-made schedule or a set of rules for organising your week.

It takes you through a structured process to help you understand your own circumstances and make decisions about how you want to use your time. The plan you create reflects your priorities, commitments and energy, rather than assuming you can follow somebody else's ideal working week.

What if I already know a lot about running my business?

That's a useful starting point. You don't need another collection of business tips to work through.

Your Hours, Your Plan focuses on a particular question: what do you do with the hours you have?

It gives you a guided process for bringing your knowledge of your business and your circumstances together in a practical plan.

What if I can't decide which priority to choose?

You don't have to be completely certain before you begin.

Choosing a business priority gives you a starting point for the process, and you can reconsider it as you develop a clearer picture of your time and circumstances.

The plan is yours to shape, and you can return to the process with a different priority when you need to.

What if my circumstances or priorities change?

Your plan isn't intended to be something you create once and follow forever.

As your business, commitments or priorities change, you can return to the materials and work through the process again. The aim is to give you an approach you can continue to use, rather than a plan that only works for one particular moment in your life.

Will this help me find more hours in the day?

The aim isn't to promise you more hours than you have.

It's to help you understand the time available to you and make considered decisions about how you want to use it. That may involve changing what you give your time to, what you defer or what you decide not to take on in this period.

What do I receive, and what does it cost?

Your Hours, Your Plan costs £77.

You'll receive four audio trainings, a companion workbook, a pull-out sheet of principles and a supporting sheet for when time doesn't go to plan. You'll have ongoing access to the materials through your client portal, with immediate access after purchase.

Why don't you offer refunds?

Your Hours, Your Plan is sold as a business-to-business transaction. This means, as you are buying for purposes related to your trade, business, craft or profession, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply. That’s why there are no refunds.

How long do I have access?

Lifetime access, which means for as long as the product remains available for purchase.
