Know what your business actually needs, without being pulled around by everyone else's opinion
A focused training for experienced online business owners who are tired of wondering whether the next trend they see is ‘the thing’ they've been missing and who instead want to feel more confident deciding for themselves.
You've been building your business long enough to know there's no single formula for growth. What there is, though, and in plentiful supply, is advice.
You've probably heard equally convincing cases for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, for why search matters and why email matters, for a better funnel, a clearer message, a different content strategy, a new offer. Maybe even for a better morning routine. There's likely truth in much of it, maybe even most of it, but the reality is you can't possibly do it all.
Maybe you've tried anyway, though, and spread yourself too thin across everything that sounded plausible enough to be the answer. Or maybe you've become so wary of getting it wrong again that you're struggling to make any decision at all.
I’ve been there and the pattern is familiar to many of us. Something crosses your path, it sounds credible, you wonder if this is the thing you've been missing, so you look into it, you hesitate, you move on until the next thing catches your attention. Somewhere in that cycle, running your business starts to feel less like leading it and more like working out whose advice to follow next.
What if the problem is that you're trying to work out whether advice is right for you by looking at the advice itself.
That's a subtle distinction. Something can be genuinely useful, the person offering it can be experienced and sincere, and it can still not be what your business needs right now. That's what makes the online noise so hard to navigate. There isn't usually a problem with any single piece of advice. The difficulty is knowing which piece belongs in your business, at this point, and why.

Need or Noise teaches you to look at marketing differently. You'll notice things you'd normally skim past, get better at separating what you're being promised from what you're actually being offered and build a clearer sense of what a particular path would actually require of you.
You'll also get sharper at recognising when something is addressing a problem you have, rather than simply addressing a problem. An offer can be exactly right for someone else and still wrong for you.
Working through Need or Noise is about becoming more confident in the decisions you make about your business. You'll be better able to look at an offer, understand what it could actually mean for your business, work out whether it addresses what's really going on for you and decide whether it's something you want to pursue.
You don't need to stop investing in your business. You don't need to distrust every coach, consultant or programme you come across. You don't need to become an expert at spotting ‘bad’ marketing and you don't need someone else to hand you the answer.
What you can build instead is the ability to look at what's in front of you, ask whether it's relevant to your business right now, and make the call yourself. Sometimes the answer will be yes, sometimes no, sometimes not yet, and all three are good decisions once you've actually made them yourself.
The decision gets to be yours.
By the end of the training, you'll have a clearer way of thinking about the decisions you make in your business, including:
What you're actually being offered, beneath the marketing.
What actually sits between an offer and the result you're hoping for, so you're less likely to assume that buying something produces the outcome on its own.
What's actually going on inside your own business, so you're working from what's really getting in the way rather than reaching for the newest strategy or tactic.
Whether an offer genuinely fits you, not just whether it worked for somebody else.
How you make decisions about investing in your business, with more confidence and a lot less of the 'maybe this is the thing, maybe it isn't' cycle.
Need or Noise won't tell you which platform to use, how often to post, which funnel to build, what your next strategy should be, or how to build a six figure business. There are plenty of places to learn those things already.
The point here isn't to add more information to the pile. It's to help you make better decisions about the information, advice and opportunities already coming your way.
What Need or Noise addresses sits before all of those decisions: how you work out which of the many things available to you are actually worth pursuing.
Because your business is yours. What worked for someone else might be useful, it might even be exactly what you need. But you're the one who has to work that out for your own business, not borrow someone else's answer as it appears in marketing.

Hi, I'm Linden. I'm an entrepreneurial leadership trainer working with women in online business who are experienced, capable and doing the work, but not seeing the consistency they know they're capable of.
I came to this work the long way. Over a decade in this space I've watched trends come and go, watched confident claims about what a business 'must' be doing arrive and disappear, and noticed one pattern that's remarkably easy to fall into: looking outside yourself for what's missing.
I've done it myself. I’ve bought the support, followed the advice, tried the things. I've learned that what looks like a strategy problem is often something else entirely. One practical consequence for me has been becoming much more deliberate about where I spend money in my business, not because I don't invest, but because I'm clearer about what I actually need.
Understanding what's actually required of us as business owners, so we can meet what our businesses genuinely need rather than what the loudest voice online says we need, has become a key part of my work. Need or Noise is one piece of that. It helps you stop automatically looking outside yourself for the answer so that you get better at trusting the discernment you already bring to everything else in your business.
I’m not saying other people's knowledge isn't valuable, because it is. You're the one running your business, though, so the final decision has to make sense to you.
I've kept this deliberately focused. You don't need another enormous programme to work through. You need enough time and space to understand the approach, see it applied, and bring it into your own business. The value isn't in giving you more information to process. It's in giving you a useful way to think about what you're already seeing, hearing and being offered.
Focused video training: A practical session that walks you through the Need or Noise approach, including a worked example so you see the thinking applied rather than just being told about it.
Accompanying workbook: Fillable, with reflection points and exercises to apply what you're learning to your own business as you go.
Worked marketing example: An example piece of marketing taken apart and examined, so you can see what becomes visible once you look past the immediate promise.
Full transcript: So you can revisit and reference the teaching easily.
Reusable simple decision tool: Questions to keep and ask whenever the next offer catches your attention.
This isn't meant to be something you use once and put away. It's built to be something you return to as your business grows and changes.
You’ve been in business long enough to know that more strategy isn’t the answer.
You’ve made sales, but results haven’t been consistent.
You’re doing a lot, but it isn’t compounding in the way you expected.
You’re ready to stop outsourcing your authority and start leading from a more grounded place.
It's not for you if:
You're new to online business and need foundational guidance first.
You want step by step instructions for exactly how to grow your business.
You want someone else to tell you which strategy, platform or tactic to use.
You expect a course or coach to produce your results for you.
Need or Noise won't tell you what to do. What it does is help you get sharper at deciding for yourself, which is a different and more valuable job entirely.

No. It's about building your ability to decide whether what you're being told will help grow your business is actually relevant to you.
That's part of why I created it. Need or Noise isn't designed to give you another strategy to add to the list. It's designed to help you get better at deciding which of the things you're already being offered are actually relevant to your business, so you can make more considered decisions about what you do next.
No. That's deliberately not what this does. It gives you a way to make the decision yourself.
No. Need or Noise is a self-study digital product, so there's no individual support or 1:1 access included.
Yes. You can complete it digitally, print it and write by hand or, my personal preference, use a journal to write on the workbook’s prompts.

So the next time something catches your attention, you don't have to jump in straight away, but you don't have to walk away from it either. You can pause, look at it properly, think it through and decide.
